Who Are We?

Israel Urquilla began his career at Dogs By Day & Night in 2002; it was one of the biggest daycare and boarding providers on the East Coast. The more time he spent with the pups, the more it became clear that this was definitely the career he would like to pursue. While at Dogs By Day and Night, he kept gaining experience. One of his fears at such a young age was getting hired since he was so young, but the dedication and hard work paid off, and the good word spread through the DC neighborhoods and Arlington, VA. Finally, a few years later, he funded Dog Pal in DC LLC, providing boarding from home and play groups in local dog parks. 18 years later, we are still providing services due to your continuous support. Hermes Yanes- He began his career in 1999 at Dogs By Day & Night, and he is actually one of DC’s pioneer pup handlers. He gained knowledge and experience with pups after more than a decade of service. He felt he was ready to become a small business owner after Dogs By Day & Night was sold. He funded Alpha Pets and provided playgroups and boarding from home. He eventually teamed up with Dog Pal in DC, and years later both decided to create a merger, and “Dog Pals in DC was funded.
